Let me start by wishing to everyone a happy new year! This is my first post of 2010 and, even though it has no picture, it’s the most interesting one so far. Yesterday me and three of my girl friends decided to have a girls night out in Roppongi. The reason for this is that most clubs in Roppongi have free entrance for girls on Saturday. We had heard about a club which was apparently very nice called Muse.So we decided to go check it out.

When we first got to Roppongi, we took the wrong metro exit and ended up walking for quiet a bit. Initially, we couldn’t really find the club and we were getting a little nervous about it. When we finally did find the club, it had a small modest entrance with no line up. Again, we were slightly scared. But that was soon over when we finally walked down the entrance into a a series of room connected by various entrance and small tunnels. The layout was absolutely awesome and the decoration was a patchwork of various theme that would make any hipster wet himself. Big rooms, two dance floors, awesome furniture and a very interesting crowd. The people in the club were split into two groups. The younger crowd, which me and my friends belong too, and the older crowd which was mostly working business man in their 30’s.

We quickly checked out the first floor and decided to go dance. Me and Pauline’s plan was to spend money only for a locker and some Mcdonalds at 5 am. We put on our sexiest/prettiest outfits and hoped that some nice Japanese boys would buy us some drinks. Within a few minutes on the dance floor, a Japanese man in his 30’s, came up to me and started talking to me. The conversation soon died though and I thought he would just leave but, no, he offered me and all of my friends a drink. Even though one of my friends politely refused he headed out to the bar and brought us all back a Smirnoff Ice. Elettra had already left with some other friends when he came back so I ended up with two beers. When I was halfway though my second beer, Pauline done hers and Remi had only taken a few sips of hers, he headed out to the bar and brought back SIX MORE! Luckily, there was a table beside our dancing spot, so we ended up with our own little mini bar of Smirnoffs. He didn’t try anything on us either, which was very nice. He just stood beside us appreciating that he was being seen with a crowd of pretty ladies. Interesting I suppose. He eventually left because he was tired, so we thanked him and went on with our nights.

After he left, we went to checkout the basement floor which was slightly less crowded. We decided to hang out there, ran into some friends from the SILS program and dance the night away. The music at the club was your regular dance club music. The only song which really disappointed me was a Justin Bieber song. In my opinion, it belongs on Disney Channel, not a club for adults. Otherwise, the music was nice for dance music and there was no stupid VG screaming out random crap every second.

When the clock hit 4 am, we were getting very tired and sobering up. There was a separate room marked as a V.I.P room but it also had a sign under it which said “ladies rest area”. Not sure what they meant we decided to go see inside. The room was very big and had many couches. Since we were all ladies we decided to go in and rest. The funny thing is that we were the only ones inside. I don’t know if it’s because other girls were scared to go in or because they couldn’t read the sign in English, but the room belonged to us. The room also had a completely free karaoke machine. So we spent about 45 minutes in there and left for some McDonalds.

Overall, the club was sick and the night was fun. I love the way the club looks, feels, and the crowd. I highly suggest it for any girls since it’s also free for them to get in. As for boys, I’m not so sure but their is an entrance fee and drinks are expensive. Somehow, I manage to keep my promise to myself and only spent on a locker and McDonalds and I still had four drinks and a V.I.P room to myself. Definitely going again next weekend.
